Pics of the quilts i made for the girls

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Just wanted to show the quilts that I made for my 2 daughters and daughter in law for Christmas. The pictures didn't turn out to good though. Sometimes this camera has a mind of its own.

My oldest daughter is a Pittsburgh steelers fan so i made this one for her

This is my youngest daughters rag quilt. It has butterflys on it.

And this is the quilt that i made for my DIL. It's homespun and the picture looks lighter than it is.

They are all rag quilts. I really enjoy making these.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas

I know how busy it will be for all of us the next few days. So i would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas. Our snow is still around and it's not looking to pretty now. And now they are calling for ice on Christmas morning. I'm going to my sons house for dinner around 1. and all the kids will be there, I hope they can make it.

What a day

Well got up really early this morning and went in and started working on my last Christmas gift. Working a little and was getting a little chillie so went in and checked the thermostat and it said 66. So i turned up the heat and it still felt cold. Went over and put my hand by the grate and cold air. The furnace wasn't working. Lovely. Just had the new furnace put in 2 years ago. Called them and they said they would be out between 12 and 5. Getting colder in here. Finally he showed up around 2:30. He's been here an hour and its still not fixed. Hopefully soon.

Went to Joann's tonight and guess what i saw.

Well Christmas things are 70% off and the Valentine stuff is coming out. LOL already.. Hubby was with me and he said it's not even February yet. I told him you can't wait until February to get valentine decorations...LOL The snow is in VA now. Coming my way. The stores are crazy tonight.

Here comes the snow

Well they are calling for a snow storm this weekend and possibly a white Christmas. We havent had a white Christmas for years and years. A little snow over Christmas will be fine but not ready for anymore.

I'm still working on my Christmas presents. After Christmas i will post a pic of them. Just lots to do right now.

Here's my finished baby rag quilt

Went to the baby shower on Sunday and my niece had a wonderful time. Here is the quilt i made for her. My first rag quilt was a bear from a pattern. This is my second rag quilt and this one was made from squares.

The top pictures are the front. And the bottom 2 pictures are the back. I embroidered the last square.

My niece really loved it. Alot of clipping and my hand hurt so bad. They are 3" squares so it took alot of them to make it. I have been so busy lately working on Christmas gifts.

It's Snowing

It's snowing...Been doing it since early this morning. The roads are to warm so its not laying on them but it is in the grass. Suppose to do it all day...Well i don't have to go anywhere today so that ok. LOL Not much of a snow and winter person.

I was up til 2 this morning clipping that rag quilt. My hand hurts so bad. I used all flannel so that is 3 layers of it. And i should of made it with bigger squares. I used 4" squares so that's alot of clipping. It's in the washer for the second time, then into the dryer again. I'll get a pic of it sometime today and post it. I have been working on it all week. The baby shower is tomorrow.

Back to cleaning and washing clothes. Talk later

Hi all

Hope everyone survived the holidays and getting ready for more. I have been busy trying to do a rag quilt for my niece for a baby shower on Sunday. Little harder than i thought, lol....The quilt kit i won from Green Fairy quilts i'm going to work on the first of the year. It's a regular quilt and i've never done them before. So i want to get the holiday over and i will have more time to concentrate on that. Lol Check out her blog she has wonderful quilts at great prices.

Well i'm still working on Christmas decorating and making that quilt, so i'd better get back to work.
